Lance L. Milne

Lance L. MilneLance learned the value of hard work, diligence and the importance of getting the job done while working with his parents and brothers hauling hay, building fences and caring for animals on their small family farm. The same characteristics he learned on the farm have continued with him in his legal career and have assisted him in vigorously representing clients and in obtaining successful resolutions of their cases.

Lance’s father is a journeyman lineman for an electrical utility company.  Lance’s mother is a second generation insurance agent, and taught Lance the importance of insurance to protect individuals and their property.  Lance understood that insurance companies were supposed to protect those who get injured or suffer a loss.  However, Lance has seen too often insurance companies avoid responsibility in compensating the injured victim, and care only about its bottom line; money.  Lance takes great pride in assisting injured victims receive compensation for their injuries and ensuring that insurance companies take responsibility and pay the policy benefits.

Lance was born on January 29, 1979, in Cedar City, Utah, and spent most of his childhood living in Ogden, Utah. After obtaining a B.A. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Weber State University, Lance received his Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech University School of Law.  While in law school, Lance worked as a law clerk at Fadduol, Cluff & Hardy, P.C. and later joined the firm as an associate attorney.  Lance is licensed to practice law in Texas and New Mexico. Lance and his wife, Holly, have two daughters, Addy and Brielle.

One of Lance’s most memorable cases involved a client who was severely injured when a 2000 lb. industrial tractor tire fell on him while at work.  Lance knew that the case would be difficult to prove, but he accepted the challenge and aggressively represented his client.  After a tough fight with the insurance companies involved, the case settled for a confidential amount.  It was only after Lance gave the client the settlement check, the client, explained to Lance, with much gratitude, that prior to Lance’s involvement in his case, two other lawyers in town had declined to represent him because as he explained, “the other lawyers said that I didn’t have a case.”

Lance has experience representing clients who have been injured in motor vehicle collisions, agriculture work injuries, oilfield injuries, premises liability, and 18-wheeler collisions.  Lance spent two years on a church mission in Germany and is fluent in German.  Lance is an eagle scout and a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association.
